At Green’s Produce & Plants, quality has been our top priority since 1969. Our story began with Mr. JB Green, who started Green’s Produce and Plants as a humble roadside stand across the street from our current location. In 1969, Mr. Green bought the building that now houses our market, where he operated until 1973.

That year, Tom Baron purchased the business, bringing his dedication and passion for fresh produce. Tom would eagerly arrive at the market in the early hours of the morning to hand-pick the freshest produce from the farmers’ stalls. His commitment ensured that we always had the best black-eyed peas, tastiest tomatoes, and juiciest Parker County peaches.

Over the last four decades, Green’s has flourished. Tom has passed the reins of market trips to produce manager Scott Sutton and entrusted plant selection to operations manager Patti White. After a brief attempt at retirement, Tom now travels the country in search of vintage treasures and makes time to assist at Green’s whenever he’s in town.

Greens is a delightful place to shop for fresh locally grown produce, plants for the garden and garden decor. Their produce is always fresh, and they also carry several kinds of pickles, salsa, white cheese sauce for dipping (our favorite), freshly made guacamole, specialty breads and loads of other delicious snacks. While my wife shops for the produce, I am in the garden looking for the perfect hanging basket or a pretty plant that I didn’t know existed. Absolutely the best thing about shopping there are their people. Thay take the time to both listen to what you are looking for and helping with problems you may have with your garden. They have ordered special plants for me and let me know when they come in. Its people like them, that keep people like me, coming back month after month and year after year. Simply put – they take care of the customer.

I have been coming here for over 30 years. I have watched it get bigger and bigger. They carry some of the most beautiful plants you can find. The produce is ALWAYS fresh. Sometimes you luck out and can meet the owner who is so much fun to chat with. Very solid business and very reasonable! A lot of locally sourced items here, and some from around the state. Great place to pick up plants, veggies, or take a break and enjoy the scenery!
